Most of our unfortunate decisions are made when we feel abandoned, depressed or under pressure …

  • Disgusting pair of sandals for $ 200, which you bought (FOR SALE !!!) after a particularly harsh day.
  • Drive through a hamburger + free + shake instead of having lunch, because the kids pushed you over the edge (during FOURTH time that week).
  • The second bottle of wine is because, “Come on, you only live once!”

If you know that you will be exhausted and stressed, and HANGRI at the end of the day, make a decision that you will eat AHEAD OF TIME.

This may mean cooking some dishes on Sunday, which you just need to warm up or use a food delivery service, or identify some useful fast food options.

If you know that you are escaping through the door in the morning (AGAIN) and will inevitably take a cupcake, perhaps you will prepare a bunch of sheep oatmeal that grab and go.

Whenever possible, make decisions in ADVANCE, when you feel calm + strong + steady + clear if you can.

Plan + prepare when you are at your BEST. Then all you have to do is do it.
