Learn the advice of a dermatologist for protection from the summer sun here!

June 3, 2019 by

Here is the second part of my blog to quickly shape your skin and get protection from the summer sun that your skin needs. Protect your precious skin by two square meters with proper skin care. As a dermatologist, I have helped my patients do this for years. I do it myself and for my family every year.

Here are my dermatologist's tips (three and four) on summer skin care:

Tip 3: Get better skin protection from the sun right now.

Your two square meters of skin go outside, and you must protect them. My infographics tells you how I am a dermatologist – I think you need to do this. I have been watching skin for over 30 years in my dermatological practice, and I know what works and what has failed my patients. This is my area of expertise.

Get summer sun protection with these tips from a dermatologist.

Here's what you need to know about protecting your skin from the sun:

Step 1: Cover as much of your two square meters as possible with sunscreen with protective clothing (not fragile linens or cotton, UV penetrates the fabric!).

If you walk a lot in the fresh air, invest in UPF 50 clothes. The best options are Coolibar and Mott50. Bloxsun gloves protect the delicate skin of the hands, preventing thinning, pigmentation and skin cancer! Very important!!

Step 2: For skin that has remained uncovered, ask yourself if you are ready to attack the ultraviolet:

A: Apply sunscreen with wide spectrum zinc oxide SPF 30+ for all uncoated skin.

S: look for the shadow and create it with a matching sunhat, parasol. Standing in the shadows – who are these people standing under the direct rays of the sun, didn’t they receive a memo?

K. Know where the UV light is. It will ALWAYS surprise you. Use my little UV Detecto Ring to prove to yourself that one shade is not enough. See how these beads are colored when you really think that you are in a UV-free zone. These beads even surprise me! Get them, you'll be amazed and find out why these age spots darken, and your skin becomes slightly tanned in the summer, even if you thought you covered all the sun-protection basics.

Tip 4: Raise the level of antioxidants in your skin as secondary protection against UV damage to the skin.

Eating foods rich in antioxidants is important for your skin and your overall physiological health. You can even load additional antioxidants into your skin with the help of professional antioxidants.

Why are antioxidants important for summer skin care?

Antioxidants protect your skin from free radicals, which are formed when ultraviolet rays and other stressors penetrate your skin. They protect you from free radicals, neutralizing them before they damage precious structures – DNA, lipid cell membranes and important things that are necessary for healthy skin.

No matter how hard you try, your sun protection will not be 100% – which is why your skin is still tanning, and your freckles darken a little every summer. Antioxidants can help prevent these cunning ultraviolet rays from entering into what is valuable when you are waiting for a generous reserve. Do it. Add antioxidant skin care products to your facial skin care. It is harder to force them into thicker skin, but the skin of the face and neck readily absorbs them. It's worth it.

Add foods high in pharmaceutical grade green tea, ECGC polyphenols and vitamin C. They have proven to be effective. I made it my business to have the best, and I saw how they work on my thousands of patients. I created my SunSavvy antioxidant kit with antioxidant therapy for skin with green tea and professional serum with vitamin C in combination with Sheer Strength sunscreen.

How do you add antioxidant skin care products to your skin care program to fight free radicals?

Apply an antioxidant cream for green tea, let it dry for a few seconds or more, then add vitamin C. Allow vitamin C to dry, then apply a moisturizer and sunscreen based on zinc oxide. With this overlay procedure, you get a primary (sunscreen) and secondary (antioxidant) back-up system for free radicals. This is my best choice to prepare the delicate skin of the face and neck for sunny summer days and active rest.

Get ready – warm weather and fun in the fresh air here. Let's take two square meters of skin and play outside – with our most beautiful skin, protected from ultraviolet radiation!
