In recent weeks, I have demonstrated several low-tech exercise streams using simple tools, such as furniture sliders and a wooden cart. After these demonstrations, my mailbox filled in questions about where to purchase such equipment. However, although I can easily provide Amazon links to furniture sliders or any other tool, that's why I shot these exercises. My low-tech demonstrations are not what you need, but a reminder of what you don't needWith a little creativity, you can train almost anywhere, anywhere.
If you missed previously recorded videos, see below.
First, you will see an inexpensive wooden doubling of a cart as a tool for full body exercises. When I was shooting these exercises, I did not use the cart after a few months. Instead, I once launched some equipment, noticed a cart, and suddenly she hit my ass. Often this happens with my preparation. There is not always a biased plan. Sometimes I just get a random idea and start moving, based on what I feel.
Then you will see the same furniture sliders that I first demonstrated on this site almost 10 years ago. At that time, I would never have guessed that my purchase for $ 10 would provide so many years of use. I am happy that I made a mistake.
What's the point?
For a long time, site readers have likely seen these exercises before. Some may be wondering why I show them again. Fortunately, the answer to this question is simple.
Not to walk on my own horn, but I trained for a long time and is quite capable with my body. However, despite all my years of study, I can still go into the old garage and pull my ass out of a pair of sliders and a wooden cart. And do not think about it. I had world-class fighters who trained in the same garage and struggle with the same simple tools.
Therefore, the message is simple. You do not need fashionable equipment or tools to challenge yourself, and this message will never expire. On the contrary, you can train almost anywhere with little or nothing and do the work (regardless of your abilities).
When I started this site many years ago, my goal was to bring down fictitious barriers to training, which the fitness industry deceived, many believe that they exist. For example, I’m sure that we’ve all seen an ad or advertisement that said you need specific tool, supplement or program. It could not be further from the truth, because the word "need"Roughly abused and abused."
In fact, if we learned what is really necessary for effective learning, my list would be full of intangible assets. Unfortunately, there are no Amazon links to intangible qualities that are needed to succeed in anything in life. Attributes such as dedication, effort, consistency, and perseverance are invaluable, but can only be found within. It's up to you.
Thus, everything you need is in front of you and within you. Ultimately, it comes down to priorities. If you need something bad, you will find a way. There is almost always someone who did more than you (and me) with less. So use what you have, be consistent and creative, and good things will happen in time.
There are no secrets of success, just consistent and concerted efforts that ultimately lead to results.
