What nutritional advice did Dr. Bailey, a dermatologist and anti-aging skin expert, take to look and feel young at 60?
I am often told that I look younger than me. Although this may in part be flattering, on the whole, I think that I have been keeping quite well for 60 years. Yes, I was good for my skin, but I was also careful to stick to a holistically healthy diet, that is, the total amount of my daily diet was generally healthy. However, my daily diet may still vary. But there are two things that I make special efforts to eat every day, because I know that they are superfoods of health. Recently I was asked about them, and I thought that it would be nice to share them with you.
For over 30 years I have been trying to eat these two products every day:
Freshly ground flax seeds – anti-aging superfood
I put fruit and yoghurt with flax for breakfast, which I chop fresh daily. Flax seeds are one of the richest plant sources of omega-3 fatty acid, which fights heart disease, inflammation and cancer. They are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber and plant lignans necessary for healthy intestinal bacteria (microbiome).
I grind flax seeds in a coffee grinder, which I dedicate to just flax (there are no coffee beans in this thing!) You have to grind them to get good, because the seed is hard and your teeth break it badly when chewed. Your stomach acid also does not destroy the seeds.
I like gold flax seeds the most, although all the varieties I've tried taste great. They can also serve salads or smoothies. I make them fresh the way I need them, because the nutrients are fragile and quickly destroyed.
At least one serving of beta-carotene, rich in winter pumpkin, cabbage or carrots.
Beta-carotene is a precursor of vitamin A, the most important nutrient for healthy skin, which also slows down skin aging. As an antioxidant, it helps prevent aging of the entire body. You get an extra bonus because beta carotene warms up your complexion, and the rich beta carotene glow has been scientifically proven more attractive than sunburn. Beta-carotene green has also been shown to slow down brain aging.

Did you know that 1 cup of winter squash contains 450% of your recommended daily intake of vitamin A?!
When it comes to nutrition, which fights aging, there is no dietary bypass that comes from a vitamin supplement. No, you just have to put healthy food in your mouth and chew it, and then swallow it. It is actually easy, affordable and doable. These are my two best products that I am sure to get into my mouth every day. What are you?
