Following adoption in 1969 in Los Angeles Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Brad Pitt is preparing to meet some more epic stars. By this, we mean that he is heading into space in the film Ad astra,
In the new trailer for the film, Pitt and James Gray talk about making the film and what it means for the characters who set off on this journey.
“This is a very human story about ourselves and about discovering ourselves … what vulnerability is, what strength is, and where the strength actually comes from,” says Pitt.
The plot begins with the fact that the hero of Pitt Roy McBride is sent on a mission to the deepest corners of the solar system to learn more about the mystery that could threaten the entire planet. “When the film begins, we find out that Roy’s father disappeared in the mission for 13 years, and there is a possibility that he is still alive,” says Pitt.
The footage demonstrates some of the incredible visual effects that Gray created for the film. Here's a look at the Featurette trailer:
“It becomes a grand journey through the universe of reachability,” says Gray. “Roy thinks that the answers to the riddles of life are in space, and he learns that in fact the beauty of life is a human connection.”
Ad astra going to go to the cinema on September 20.
