5 Tips to Improve Your Memory – Workout True

March 28, 2018 by

In fact, during sleep, our short-term memories are thought to be combined into long-term memories. Most of our memory consolidation actually occurs during REM sleep (sleep, where you often dream). Getting at least 6 hours of sleep at night can help improve memory consolidation, as well as reduce the risk of stroke! To sleep better at night, invest in some blackout curtains, set aside electronics and take a book. Your brain will thank you!

4) Slow, deep breathing

It seems so simple, but deep breathing, when you breathe in your nose on a 7-count and exhale through your nose on a 7-count, can really help increase your memory. Slow, deep breaths can also help your brain deal with things like anxiety and depression, so take a moment to slow down your breathing!

5) Change your routine!

You can be one of those who love their routine – you like to do the same exercises and eat the same products and have the same schedule. Although there is nothing wrong with that, our brains can go into autopilot while we are doing the tasks we have done again and again. To really challenge your brain, try different kinds of exercises. If you go every day, add strength training or Pazaz to the mix! Reading new books and trying to master new skills (regardless of your age) will help keep the brain in the form of tips for many years.
