First, the photo!
We are friends who met when I took a photo for a future woman for her, when she was the hardest. We quickly became friends and, of course, joined our strong belief that we all deserve to feel beautiful and love ourselves no matter what size we are.
It is this ability to learn to love ourselves, which allowed us to finally begin our weight loss journey.
The first of the two photographs was not when we were on our tall scales, but neither of us was far away at this point.
For her, it was comfortable in her own skin, which gave her the strength to finally focus on her goals, without feeling bad about her slip. He saw himself beautiful, despite being 22 in size, which allowed her to love herself.
For me, it was finally, until the moment when I was tired of living with back pain every morning, and the constant concern about leaving my two young children if I die prematurely. It was about learning to love yourself and be happy in my life, despite my divorce in a year and a half, before you begin your journey with weight loss.
I inspired her to love herself, and she inspired me to make changes in my life. I would not be where I am today without her, and she will not be where she is today without me. Our love and recognition for each other helped both of us and accept us.
We still have ways to go (she is pretty close to her goal, while I still have 75 pounds), but we get there, and every time we see each other, we are so proud of each other’s progress as physically and emotionally.
Here for friends and weight loss, love and acceptance and empowerment and the path of growth!
